US WA: Washington: Cities Can Block Marijuana Operations

New York Times, 17 Jan 2014 - (AP) - Attorney General Bob Ferguson, in an opinion on Thursday, said cities and counties can block licensed marijuana businesses from operating. Mr. Ferguson said the state's legal marijuana law gives local governments the option of adopting moratoriums or bans that prohibit licensed growing operations, processing facilities or retail shops from their jurisdictions.
