The Bakersfield Californian, 09 Aug 2011 - Kern County supervisors tonight unanimously banned store-front medical marijuana collectives in unincorporated areas of the county. Pot workers, patients, caregivers and their attorneys in the chambers erupted angrily and vowed to immediately launch a referendum to reverse the decision and sue the county to block the ban from taking effect in 30 days.
